What dry salt therapy is
Halotherapy means breathing in air with tiny particles of dry salt. A machine called a halogenerator grinds salt into a fine mist that floats around the cabin. Our HaloSauna is dry salt therapy only, so every session is pure salt and pure chill.
How a session works
- Sessions are 20 minutes.
- Sit back in the cabin, solo or with a friend.
- Breathe normally and relax. Bring a playlist in your head and zero responsibilities.
Pro tip: Turn your phone face down for 20 minutes. Your group chat will survive.
What to wear and bring
Wear comfy, breathable clothes you do not mind getting a little salty. Skip heavy lotions and makeup. Bring water for after, because salty air makes you thirsty.
What people report
Many people say they feel relaxed and refreshed afterward. Cleveland Clinic explains that breathing in salt particles appears to thin mucus, and the American Lung Association notes it may ease some symptoms, but both say there is not enough strong research yet. Some people cough a bit during or after, which is normal.
So we keep it simple: it is a cozy wellness break, not a medical treatment.
How often
There is no official standard for how often to go. Start with one session and see how you feel, then make it a regular reset if you love it.
Check with your doctor first if
- You have asthma, COPD or another breathing condition.
- You are pregnant.
- You have a heart condition.
- You feel uneasy in small spaces.
- You are sick with something contagious. Stay home and rest up.
